FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long do you recommend to lay with bees?
You might enjoy spending 15 minutes to an hour in the Bee Healing Hut. The more often you visit, the more potent the experience for all your senses. For an even deeper experience, we recommend sleeping overnight above the beehive.
What could I expect to feel during a time laying in the bee healing hut?
You can expect to feel your body fully relax and your heart rate lower. Your mind will start to switch off to the rhythmic sound and vibration of the bees. Initially, you may not hear the bees very clearly, but within a few moments, the sounds will become louder and you’ll notice a range of different tones. While lying above the beehive, you will also enjoy the beautiful scent of honey and bee pheromones from over 10,000 bees.
How do bees help humans?
Bees teach us about symbiosis and unity consciousness. While tending to your beehive, you’ll naturally learn to regulate your nervous system to maintain a safe connection with the colony and avoid being stung. The hive becomes part of the family for all backyard beekeepers.
How can we help bees?
We can learn to keep bees in Kenyan top bar hives, which mimic natural hives found in trees. These hives are easier to manage and best support the needs of thriving bees.
What are the known benefits of the bee healing hut as a form of apitherapy?
Bee huts, or bee healing huts, are specially designed structures that allow individuals to experience the therapeutic effects of the environment created by beehives. These huts typically contain hives beneath or around them, allowing the inhabitants to breathe in the air and vibrations from the bees without direct contact with the bees themselves. The therapy provided by these huts is often called bee air therapy or apiary air therapy.
